 Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of Independence of India-Special programs related to Subhas Chandra Bose.  On 21st October every year, India celebrates the INA Rasing Day.

Read India Celebration (RIC) to celebrate Readers, Knowers , Gyani’s, Vidyavan and Leaders in School (standard3rd-12th) 

Read India Celebration (RIC) in association with Republic Media Network has instituted an event for the schools (3rd to 12th grade) to engage students in a transformative nonacademic reading, problem-solving and leadership experience during 2021. Students may participate in Read India Celebration 2021 in three simple steps: 

 Register first at https://readindia.info/cms/student-register 

 Read—Read a book or research on a topic 

 Submit a small task 

The last date for student registration is August 31st, 2021, and the last date for student submission is Sep15th, 2021

Participate in Read India Celebration 2021(Indernational)

In 3 simple steps:

  1. REGISTER HERE
  2. Read – Read a book or research on a topic (refer to the proposed list of 25 themes / topics below; students are free to choose any book / topic of their choice)
  3. Submit / Upload below 2 files i.e. a & b to RIC website from student dashboard (Upload Files Tab after you Login in to RIC: 

a. Doc file: A 2 page summary (PDF or MS Word doc)

– Section#1 / Page1: Summarize the message & learnings in the book / Independent views on the research topic / theme (Minimum 3 Pros & Cons + conclusion)  in your own words (*Either book or research not both)

– Section#2 / Page2: Describe and propose a solution to any problem of your choice from “Upload Files tab in students dashboard”

b. Video file: Make a 1 to 2 minutes video about the message & learning from the book / research topic starting with a self-introduction

* Submit both doc & video file at the same time i.e. select 2 files and save by 15Sep2021 from students dashboard (Upload Files Section)

*For students in India, Hindi & English language submissions are allowed.

Note: Students of all nationalities from around the world can participate. International submissions only in English language.

Timelines for RIC 2021:

Quiz Overview

Ganga Quest is a competitive knowledge-building platform, an awareness initiative and scientific baseline determination exercise to assess the knowledge gaps and attitude orientation about Ganga and Rivers.
GANGA QUEST 2021

Ganga Quest is an international bilingual (Hindi and English) online quiz on Ganga being organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), an authority under Government of India which implements ‘Namami Gange’ programme and TREE Craze Foundation (TCF), a not for profit organization committed to Ganga, Rivers, and Environment.

Apart from engaging and creating awareness and knowledge among participants, Ganga Quest initiative aims at analyzing and evaluating the nature of participation and status of awareness among the participants. The targeted objectives are; Knowledge Building, Awareness Creation, Attitude Orientation, Knowledge Gap Assessment, and Baseline Determination. Its ultimate aim is to increase the public participation for ‘Namami Gange’ programme and to enhance ownership of children and youth for rivers and Ganga.

Anyone above 10 years of age can participate in the quiz!

Rules :
Anyone of age 10 years or above is eligible to participate in Ganga Quest.
  1. Ganga Quest 2021 is a global quiz and therefore open to everyone irrespective of their nationality.
  2. Participants willing to participate in Ganga Quest should register in the website with a valid ID, such as students admission no. or school id for school students or Aadhar Card for school passouts. However, if Aadhar Card is not available, participant can enter any other valid ID details.
  3. Valid ID includes passport, birth certificate, and school ID.
  4. Mass registration is available for schools/universities/institutions/organisations.
  5. Students from school should mention the correct details of their schools. If the details of the schools are found incorrect, then they may get disqualified as the verification process will not be complete.
  6. Since the quiz is online, participants must ensure accessibility to computer and Internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 512 Kbps.
  7. Anyone who has graduated from school must take care in providing correct personal details to ensure validation.
  8. Name of top 3 scorers in four categories will be published on TREE Craze Foundation and NMCG website after verification of details.
  9. In case of entering any incorrect detail and multiple registrations, the participant runs into the risk of disqualification and hence should be avoided.
  10. Only one prize can be claimed per individual. In case of the same person winning more than one prizes, he would be awarded with the prize with higher value.
  11. Keeping in mind the current COVID scenario, a virtual prize distribution ceremony shall be organised. No travel allowance shall be reimbursed for claiming the prizes.

    Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021 dates announced by PM Modi. Pariksha pe Charcha to be held on April 7 at 7 pm with a new format as mentioned in a tweet by Prime Minister Modi, stating "A new format, several interesting questions on a wide range of subjects and a memorable discussion with our brave Exam Warriors, their parents and teachers.

    Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021 is an event hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi wherein he interacts with students and shares tips for their upcoming board exams. Students of standard 9 to 12 can participate in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021 by submitting responses for the PPC 2021 competition on any one of the given themes. Students, teachers, and parents can also submit their questions for Prime Minister Modi by visiting the official website.





National Youth Day (12th January 2021)

 

National Youth Day is celebrated in India every year on the birthday of the Swami Vivekanand. It is celebrated every year on the 12th January. In 1984, it was declared by the Government of India that 12th January will be observed as National Youth Dayand since 1985, India celebrates the day.

The intention behind the government's move to celebrate this day was to imbibe the students and youth with the philosophy and ideals of the Swami Vivekananda, who brought a change in the thought process of the youth.

Swami Vivekananda ji’s original name was Narendranath. He was born on 12th January, 1863 at Kolkata (Swamiji’s Jayanti i.e. birth anniversary is celebrated as the ‘National Youth Day’). Right from childhood, two aspects of his behavior could clearly be noticed. One was his sincere and compassionate nature and the other was his readiness to perform any act of courage. Since his whole family was spiritually inclined, he received an appropriate religious upbringing.

He also published a number of books from 1887 until his death on July 4th, 1902. These books include Sangeet Kalpataru, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Vedanta Philosophy: An Address before the Graduate Philosophical Society, Bartaman Bharat, My Master, and Vedânta philosophy: Lectures On  Jnana Yoga. Books that were published posthumously include Inspired Talks, Para Bhakti or Supreme Devotion and Speeches and Writings of Swami Vivekananda.
